The pedestrian avoidance system with proximity alerts is designed to prevent collisions between pedestrians, forklifts, AGVs, and other industrial vehicles. It uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to accurately determine the distance between the devices installed on vehicles and those used by pedestrians, generating real-time alerts when a risk zone is reached. Warning ranges are configurable between 1 and 30 meters, allowing the system to be adapted to the vehicle's dimensions, operating speed, and the characteristics of each work area. The system can establish two safety zones with different alert levels. In a risky situation, both the driver and pedestrian can receive visual and audible alerts. Furthermore, depending on the installation configuration, it is possible to intervene to slow down or automatically stop the vehicle. The detection system also prevents collisions between vehicles and AGVs and automatically controls speed when entering areas with specific speed limits. It is a particularly suitable solution for intersections, shared aisles, maneuvers with reduced visibility, and areas with heavy internal traffic. It can be installed on forklifts and other electric or combustion vehicles via an external installation that does not alter their internal parameters. The precision and speed of UWB technology allow for the detection of hazardous situations without relying on direct line of sight, helping to improve internal traffic safety without unnecessarily interfering with operations.
